Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, an experienced airline pilot, faces the ultimate test of his skills when US Airways Flight 1549 suffers a bird strike shortly after taking off from New York City on January 15, 2009. With both engines losing power and limited time to react, Sully makes the split-second decision to land the damaged aircraft on the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 passengers and crew members aboard. Although the emergency landing earns him widespread recognition as a hero, Sully soon finds himself facing an intense investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board, which questions whether he could have landed the plane safely at a nearby airport. Haunted by the incident and under pressure to defend his professional reputation, Sully must rely on his experience, judgment, and confidence in his decisions. As investigators examine flight simulations and evidence, the film explores courage, responsibility, teamwork, and the psychological impact of a life-threatening event, revealing the remarkable story behind the miracle on the Hudson.
