Chinese Zodiac’s story follows JC (Jackie Chan), a treasure hunter and master of disguise, who sets out on a daring global mission to recover the twelve bronze animal heads representing the Chinese zodiac — relics looted from Beijing’s Old Summer Palace during the 19th century. Accompanied by a skilled team, JC travels across continents facing ruthless mercenaries, greedy collectors, and dangerous traps to retrieve the lost treasures. Along the way, he battles not only for profit but also for cultural pride and justice. Packed with thrilling stunts, humor, and heartfelt moments, Chinese Zodiac combines classic Jackie Chan action with a strong message about heritage, identity, and redemption. The film is regarded as a spiritual successor to Chan’s Armour of God series and showcases his trademark blend of martial arts and comedy.
